I have reached that stage of my life where I know I have more life to look back on, than the life I have left to live.
When Margaret Mead, the great anthropologist, amongst other things, was asked what she wanted written on her tombstone, she replied: “She lived long enough to be of some use.” That’s the conclusion I have come to. When we aspire to become the best version of ourselves and can be of service to our fellow man, I think we are living satisfying lives
I know it is fine to have those ideals, but as everyone knows life is unpredictable. There are ups and downs. There are times when our spirits soar from sheer happiness and delight. There are other times when we feel broken and alone.
I think one of the greatest lessons I have learned is, no matter what is happening on the outside, I know that I can master what is happening on the inside. The two biggest challenges of my adult life were my divorce and my diagnosis of having a rare lymphoma. On both occasions I felt scared about my future. On both occasions my view of the world changed.
Today there is so much scientific evidence that our thoughts and the emotions that accompany them are powerful beyond measure. By deeply connecting with ourselves and consciously becoming more aware, we can create greater visions for our lives and heal ourselves, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
The quality of our questions determines the quality of our lives. When I was diagnosed with my form of lymphoma, I asked myself the question,”What is this cancer telling me?”
I use my expertise, learnings and experience to guide and support you through whatever major life transition you may be experiencing - be it divorce, illness, workplace issues or just wanting something better.
I teach you a new way of being. You tap into your inner resources and you come to know that there are endless possibilities for your life.
I teach you how to use your energy to make decisions and take actions that propel you forward into living a life that you truly desire to live.
When you know what you are capable of and you find your meaning and purpose, that’s when you truly become alive.
That is my greatest joy.
The more willing we are to ask ourselves the hard questions, the deeper we connect to ourselves and the greater transformation we experience.

Jan’s workshop helped me strengthen my self-esteem and confidence. I particularly appreciated her supportive, compassionate facilitation and the creative ways in which we were able to identify and begin to resolve inner conflicts.

I reached out to Jan for counseling at a very vulnerable time in my life. I really felt ‘heard’ by Jan. I also appreciated the generative way that we used art to express how I was feeling and help me gain clarity around my situation, which inevitably helped me make better decisions about my future. Thanks Jan!
